About Little SAfari Books
Little SAfari Books was created from a love of nature, reading and the wonder of childhood imagination. The series brings together rhyming stories, bright hand-drawn illustrations and South African animals to create books that are both entertaining and meaningful.
Unlike many children’s books that focus on familiar animals from around the world, Little SAfari Books shines a light on local creatures from South Africa. The stories celebrate not only the well-known animals of the wild, but also the small, everyday creatures that are often overlooked.
Why Families Love Little SAfari Books
Little SAfari Books are colourful, engaging and easy for children to enjoy. Each story has its own adventure, with hidden creatures to find throughout the pages. This makes the books interactive and fun, encouraging children to look closely, ask questions and learn more about nature.
The rhyming words help make reading enjoyable, while the illustrations bring each story to life. Beneath the fun and adventure, each book carries a gentle message that children can understand and parents can appreciate.
